Terry's association with Broomfield goes back to 1995 when his father Dave joined the club from The George. He appeared on the list of registered players for the 1996 season but did not play a league match until 1998. That year he played in the West Bromwich 'B' in a settled team alongside Jonathan Blakeman, Peter Darby, Pat Evetts, Peter Rose, Joe Russell, John Capewell, Carol Jones and Stuart Francis.

In 2001 Terry was one of the main benefactors of Broomfield joining the Dudley (Thursday) League. In this team he clocked up 128 games in seven seasons (2001-2007) and still holds the clubs appearance record in the Dudley League (139). In 2004 he took on the Dudley captaincy and the following season he led the team to a runners-up spot in Division 4. Successive promotions were secured the following season with another runners-up finish in Division 3. In 2007 he again led the challenge as Broomfield just missed out on promotion to Division 1 (4th). This remains the clubs highest finish in the Dudley League.

In 2008 Terry took on a new challenge with the West Bromwich captaincy and completed a fourth season as captain in 2011. In 2009 the team won the Mick Edmunds Memorial Trophy beating Penn 'A' in a well supported final at Cradley Libs. A mid table finish was pleasing enough in 2010 after losing the Broomfield green and a further improvement was made in 2011 finishing 4th. Over the past six seasons Terry has played 91 games in the West Bromwich league and as with his Dudley league record he has played the majority of these games as captain. He is rarely used in the Oldbury team (just five games between 2007 and 2011) but holds a win percentage of 60.

"TJ" as he also known made his Warwick & Worcester debut in the Alliance side in 2000 but he did not secure a regular place until 2002. He played a full W&W season in 2003 playing 20 games in Alliance Division 1 then going on to make his Premier debut at the end of the season. He played two games in Premier Division 1 under Mick Barnwell and won both games. In 2004 Broomfield withdrew their Alliance team due to a shortage of players, a rotation system was introduced for the Premier team in Division 2. Terry played 9 W&W games that year. During Phil High's tenure as Club Captain in 2005 and 2006 TJ found himself the forgotten man but performed well in the Alliance and won the averages in 2006 with 31 points and a plus of 147. A mixed season followed in 2007 playing 11 Premier games and 7 Alliance. Terry was an ever present in the Premier side in 2008 and 2009 and played an uninterrupted 52 games by also featuring in the opening 8 Premier games of 2010. He was dropped after the first match on M&B and has struggled for form since, nevertheless he played 19 games in the first team in 2011 and is now approaching 100 appearances in Broomfield's top 12.

Terry has served on committee for the past five years and always supports the end of season work and pre season work parties. With an estimated 550 appearances for the club he is also a player that gets behind the team and wants Broomfield to do well rather than focusing on individual success - a proper clubman.
