Club Championship

~

2010 Club Champion John Wilson (left) and 2011 Club Champion Chris Price (right).

Started in 1921 and simply called 'The Club Championship'. In 1937 Alfred Neale passed away, he had been the main clubs President and had much involvement, especially with the cricket section. After his death three trophies were given to the club by the Neale family: The Neale Cricket Trophy, The Neale Tennis Trophy and The Neale Bowls Trophy which is pictured below. We then used this cup for the club championship for the following 59 years, referred to as 'The Alfred Neale Club Championship'. In 1996 the Roy Freeman Cup was merged with the championship to form the newly named 'Roy Freeman Club Championship'.
