Sid Davis, Club Champion in 1957. Ken Wharton Handicap winner in 1962. Chairmans Shield winner in 1967. Smethwicks local butcher who died in 1978.

The rear is the same buliding we use as our bowls pavillion today. The windows on the left are now our ladies toilets, the right hand windows are where the kitchen is and the front stable doors were removed for our door and main windows.

In the top left corner you can see the Harry Mitchell Centre. Top right are the tennis courts which is now just spare grass land at the rear of the nets. You can also see the hockey goals in the background and hockey pitch markings on the field. This photo is taken just to the left of our bowls green.

Club champion in 1965 beating Jack Wray 21-12. Club championship runner up in 1964 losing to Fred Freeman in the final. Ken Wharton Handicap winner in 1963.

Various on green, extreme right is a person called Bill Perry. Current players should recognise the pavilion on the left which is now our mower shed.

Taken at the top end of the ground, in the background is Akrill Memorial Methodist Church. Our records show that Edgar Cole was Chairman from 1961-1972 and probably before that but we do not have the AGM details prior to 1961.
